I am a self taught artist.  My favorite childhood play time was painting. Mudwork had been integral to my life since elementary school days. > I continued my graduate studies in biochemistry and pursued life sciences research. While life was happening,  I  was steadily experimenting with different media and taught myself various drawing and painting techniques.

My work is influenced by my travels and people from different walks of life that I have met over the years. I grew up in India and came here to the US over a quarter century back.  I also had opportunity to live in Japan for a few years.  I have attended various workshops in all the countries I have lived. This helped me hone the skills.
After returning to the USA,  I took some time off from life science research and rented a studio space close to home. The store owner next door liked my work and wanted to include  my work in her small art gallery. Shortly I stared selling my art work in various small boutique shops around Michigan.  Over past ten years, my work has changed / expanded based on various requests from stores and the line of products I offer, has grown. Although so many years have passed doing art, I am still experimenting to discover a new me!
